From Bruce Springsteen’s handwritten lyrics to Born to Run to Eddie Van Halen’s hand-built Kramer guitar, Sotheby’s New York is excited to announce October’s Rock & Pop sale, filled with moments that shaped music history. These are not just collectibles—they’re artifacts of the energy, risks, and reinventions that made rock what it is.

Sotheby’s is pleased to present our latest auction devoted to the icons of classic rock and contemporary pop. Rock & Pop is comprised of a fine selection of music memorabilia from some of the biggest names in music, including Freddie Mercury, Prince, Michael Jackson, Elvis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Van Halen. Collectors will have the opportunity to browse and bid on significant instruments, original manuscript lyrics, photographs, stage worn clothing, vintage posters, rare signed albums, and more.

Sotheby’s Rock & Pop auction opens for bidding on 1 October and concludes on 24 October.
