Description

Originally launched in 2011, the Patek Philippe Reference 5496P-014 is the successor to the celebrated reference 5050. Cased in platinum, it features a distinctive honey-brown sunburst dial — sometimes described as caramel — whose graduated tones play beautifully with the light. This example is accompanied by its sapphire-crystal case back, already installed, showcasing the intricately finished automatic perpetual calendar movement with retrograde date and moon-phase indications.

The watch is in overall very good condition and presents beautifully with no obvious surface marks visible to the unaided eye. Strap shows minor signs of wear. Prior service history is unknown. The movement is running at the time of cataloging, however, it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement.
