• Two-piece suit with a blue, green and orange striped weave and a brown lining that was worn by David Bowie in the music video for his 'Absolute Beginners' single, consists of a single-breasted jacket with two buttons, labeled on the inside ‘Tailored By John Collier Of Oxford Street, London’ and a pair of trousers with button fly and turn ups.
• The suit comes with a crimson silk tie labeled ‘T.M.Lewin & Sons Ltd. 106 Jermyn Street London.’
• The garments are accompanied by a letter of provenance from Roger Burton of The Contemporary Wardrobe Collection that confirms that this suit and tie were worn in the video directed by Julien Temple.
• The letter states: 'It was Julien Temple's idea to film a video for the 'Absolute Beginners' track like a 1950s Strand cigarette commercial, so I styled David Bowie in this authentic 1950s suit and hat, where he mimicked the Strand Man...'.
• The suit comes with a copy of the ‘Absolute Beginners’ 7-inch vinyl single that pictures David wearing the suit on the front cover. 
• Accompanied by a 1986 promotional shop display for the David Bowie single ‘Absolute Beginners’ taken from the musical film of the same name.
